At Boundary I work on a variety of services that collect and analyze application flow data. This information is aggregated and presented to users via our streaming analytics platform. This post isn’t about Boundary though and Boundary isn’t my first foray into streaming analytics, it’s a problem I’ve been thinking about and working on for a while.

In Part 2 of this tutorial we covered the RequestFactory, reusable view plumbing, activities and places, and working with cell widgets.
In this final part we’re going to dig into the GWT editor framework and validation, create an abstract reusable editor with built in validation styling and integrate it with the RequestFactory persistence API. We’ll also cover CellTables and create a table driven editor for our invoices.

In Part 1 of this tutorial we covered the server side domain model, morphia and mongo setup and basic GWT bootstrapping for the project. So let’s continue by setting up our RequestFactory.

I started this tutorial serveral months ago and got side tracked for a while, not having time to wrap it up due to being very busy working on two interesting projects for clients. One project was an HTML5 mobile/ipad app with backbone.js and the other is an near real-time data visualization platform for a large enterprise storage/caching appliance with the Play framework, flot, and d3.js that I’m currently still working on.
