GWT 2.x Tutorial with MongoDB, Morphia, RequestFactory, Activities and Places, Editors, Cell Table/List, and Twitter Bootstrap – Part 3

In Part 2 of this tutorial we covered the RequestFactory, reusable view plumbing, activities and places, and working with cell widgets.

In this final part we’re going to dig into the GWT editor framework and validation, create an abstract reusable editor with built in validation styling and integrate it with the RequestFactory persistence API. We’ll also cover CellTables and create a table driven editor for our invoices.

GWT 2.x Tutorial with MongoDB, Morphia, RequestFactory, Activities and Places, Editors, Cell Table/List, and Twitter Bootstrap – Part 1

I started this tutorial serveral months ago and got side tracked for a while, not having time to wrap it up due to being very busy working on two interesting projects for clients. One project was an HTML5 mobile/ipad app with backbone.js and the other is an near real-time data visualization platform for a large enterprise storage/caching appliance with the Play framework, flot, and d3.js that I’m currently still working on.
